    This new edition introduces a wealth of new material including discussion and illustration of new findings at early Bronze Age sites in Crete and the Cycladic Islands, the fourteenth century bc Uluburun shipwreck, the evolution of coinage in the Greek city states, the purpose and function of temples and the kouros figure in Archaic Greece, new ideas on interpreting the frieze of the Parthenon, and expanded coverage of the wealth and culture of Macedon. In addition, there are over 50 new color images of key works in the history of Greek art, including the Hera of Samos, the Motya charioteer, the Parthenon frieze, and newly commissioned photography of one of the masterpieces of later Greek art, the Alexander Sarcophagus.

I'm using this book as a text book for Greek Art and Archaeology. The price was great the condition superb and the book is very informative without talking over your head.

Not well written.
By Kristin Osborne
Pedley writes very ambiguously and leaves out a lot of major details. It is also very difficult to follow his writing because he jumps for topic to topic so quickly. I would only recommend this book in the context of a college course because otherwise you lose a great deal of information.

BEST and most comprehensive resource out there

In researching naked raku, I have read everything I could find and watched several videos on you-tube. This is the most comprehensive resource I found. Each chapter is well organized and speaks to a different approach --- taking you step by step though the author's approach. The contributors are generous with their observations, formulas, and tips. I tried several approaches based on this book....with varying results but that is what raku is all about....this gave me a starting point.
The one step raku formula did not behave at all like it does for the two authors of that process. After several attempts to adjust the recipes, I gave up and moved on to the two step process with some nice results right away. Re-reading the chapters has led to minor adjustments in the process.....and better results each time.

Great way to fill in the gaps!

I just happened upon this book by accident, and I am thrilled that I did. When the season ended in May 2005, the Montecito had been imploded and all the characters were scattered everywhere. When the new season began, it was as if it were "real time" and six months had passed in the characters' lives as well. A lot of issues weren't really touched upon in the TV show, especially with Nessa in England. This book does a marvelous job at picking up right where the TV show left off and creates a satisfying timeline for the characters, right up to when the season began again in Fall 2005.
And I would like to say "thank you" to the Las Vegas TV show producers, who incorporated a bit of this book into the season finale in May 2006 with Ed Deline casually mentioning Nessa's "disappearance". Read the book to find out more!

This book was absolutely fantastic! If you are a fan of this show and follow the storyline, then reading this book is like watching the show. While reading this book it answered many questions that the show did not discuss and throughout the book I could see visuals as if I was watching the show. I also like how the writer made sure the characters were truly them meaning he would speak like them, and do things they would do. A must have book!

Great book! Before all the precious photos that have information on what you should consider before the selecting a glance. It's pretty exciting to see what fancy hairstyle that someone collected for her big day! I loved this book and the information provided along with photos of suggestions.
I risk sounding like a teenager, but haircuts in this book are to die for. They are Wow! If you are looking for styles that are different and classy yet trendy you will find in this book. Usually I hairstyles Google or YouTube and gives me excellent suggestions, but what I like most about this book is the fact that all styles are in one place, and the book is reasonably priced.

What a time saver.. I have been told by people that finding the right wedding hairstyle is one of the hectic job. Though I have made some research on the internet and found some information, but i was not so happy with it.. Getting satisfied with what you have got spending few hours doesn't worth for your special occasion. Since, i carry on my research on the same and landed on the amazon eBook store. Buyer beware. This book, published January 2003, does not cover Application Intelligence or SmartDefense, two subjects included on the new Checkpoint 156-210 exam as of July 2003.

I just wasted $150 on the exam. The test contains many questions about Application Intelligence and SmartDefense. Two topics that not covered in this book. I should have read these reviews before buying.

No cover for Feature Pack4

Just failed the exam due to this book. As per other reviews the book does not cover Application Inteligence or Smart Defense which have been added to the new Checkpoint CCSA exam. The other topics are covered very well but despite scoring over 80% on the other topics my 8% I scraped on Smart Defense was not enough to get me a pass. If they bring out a book that covers the 156-210.4 exam I would highly recommend it (unless Checkpoint have brought out feature pack 5!!).
